| August 19 , 2003 - First, sorry for the lack of updates, 4 classes this tri plus 40+ hour a week job and still trying to be a good dad and husband has put a cramp in my cabinet builiding. Thankfully, I have a few weeks off before my last tri begins so I am hoping to "finish" my cab. So keep your eyes peeled. Second, I received an e-mail from Steph with an earthlink address - I tried to reply but it got bounced back by Earthlink, so Steph, if you're out there - e-mail me again with another address. |
| May 28, 2003 - God, I wish I would have finished College about 10 years ago when I could have....but I digress. Anyhey, in my haste to finish my wiring, I managed to cook my Ipac = ( DOH!
Yep, I grabbed what I thought was the +12v wire for my coin door
LEDs and hooked 'er up to the juice. Well...it was actually the
common/ground wire for the coin mech. No damage was done, that
is, until I dropped a quarter in the slot - that momentary closure
of the circuit gave the 12 volts a path to the Ipac and whammo!
Seriously though, the chip came in and I popped it in and all is well with the world. Andy is one heck of a good guy. Oh & I have added a few pix of the "purty" lights in the Construction area. |

25, 2003 - Ok, been re-doing the wiring jungle. Added pix in the
construction area. Also added some pix of the trigger stick hack
job. |

16, 2003 - 1 more joystick to go and I can fire this bad boy up.
Added some pix of the LED illuminated push buttons and coin door
lights in construction area. Got my Final in Java Client Server
Programming tonight, so if I get done early I may tackle the joystick.

10 , 2003 - Hang tight kids. Been super busy with school - Java
Client Server programming with RMI and JDBC - alot of info to
digest. I have just about completed the wiring though - that is, I have all the wiring to all the controls done, just gotta hook-em up to the encoders. |

of the control panels yesterday ( acryllic, cpo, controls ). Will
post Pix tomorrow ( assuming I can get into the office where my
card reader for the camera is located ) We have gotten pummeled
with snow here in Central Ohio. Added the layout for the third control panel ( this is the panel with the two optical rotary joysticks with two buttons on each side of each joystick ) for Ikari Warriors, Heavy Barrel, etc - Click Here ) |
